Studio Binocular’s wayfinding system for St Kilda links the area’s eclectic streets and seaside landmarks through a cohesive network of pedestrian signage. One of the first local councils to embrace active travel, these were designed with clarity and rhythm, each sign highlighting walking times and destinations—encouraging locals and visitors alike to explore the city’s creative heart on foot.

Project Details
Building on the visual language established in St Kilda, Studio Binocular extended wayfinding across Port Melbourne and the City of Port Phillip’s parks. The system uses subtle, sustainable cues—including repurposed street furniture and cohesive signage panels—to guide pedestrians and park visitors seamlessly, creating a unified, legible, and engaging wayfinding experience across multiple precincts.
