MTV RE:DEFINE is an annual exhibition and auction partnering with the Goss-Michael Foundation and Dallas Contemporary. Showcasing works from emerging artists, the event raises funds for HIV prevention and arts education, while celebrating creative excellence through awards and global cultural engagement.

In 2017, MTV RE:DEFINE raised more than US$8 million to support HIV prevention and arts education. The gala showcased works by celebrated artists such as Damien Hirst, Eric Fischl, Francesco Clemente, Tracey Emin, and Enoc Perez, among others.

The 2016 MTV RE:DEFINE event brought together high-profile artists like Sterling Ruby, Marc Quinn, and Enoc Perez under curator Neville Wakefield. By this year, the event had raised more than US$6 million total to support HIV prevention via MTV Staying Alive and arts education.

From its launch in 2011 through 2015, MTV RE:DEFINE featured artworks by names like Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Marc Quinn, and others. In 2011 alone it raised over US$770,000, and by 2015 the event raised over US$2.2 million that year, cumulatively generating millions to support HIV prevention and arts education.
